Tau Science (founded 2008) builds advanced characterization tools for PV cells and panels, including EL and PL imaging, Quantum Efficiency, LBIC, Time-resolved PL, High power I-V, Long Wave IR hotspot imaging and Microwave Photoconductance.
Fully automated, cassette loaded systems can be configured to measure Si, III-V’s, II-VI’s and thin films over a broad range of VIS/NIR/SWIR bandgaps, up to and including 6-Junction cells. Multiple techniques may be combined into one inspection machine, and Machine Learning algorithms are available for unattended operation.

-IV-MUX: a configurable, multi-channel IV system that speeds the testing of cell arrays by sweeping all channels simultaneously.
